What to Expect During Recovery<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For a few hours after the surgery, your eyes may feel irritated, or you may feel like there is a foreign body in your eye. This will pass, and other side effects are also minimal. LASIK<\/a> recovery time is minimal, allowing most patients to return to daily activities or work within a day or two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While you\u2019ll be able to see dramatically better and be back to your usual life and work fairly quickly, full recovery after LASIK surgery can time. Tips During Recovery<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Use your prescribed eye drops <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will prescribe antibiotics and steroid drops to help prevent infections and inflammation. Use these as instructed for 7-10 days after your LASIK procedure. You will also have artificial tears, which you can use every couple of hours for about two months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rest and take it easy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rest is one of the most important things you can do during your recovery. Take the time you need to rest and relax after LASIK eye surgery. Most patients sleep after the procedure in order to help heal and rest their eyes. While you can return to work or your usual activities within a day after LASIK, give yourself the time you need to recover during your recovery day and take another day if needed to relax and rest your eyes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
