If you\u2019re thinking about getting EVO ICL surgery, or you already have your appointment, you\u2019re probably wondering what to expect during the recovery period. You\u2019ll be glad to know that for most patients, the recovery period after EVO ICL is generally short. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Your vision will likely be blurry immediately after your surgery, and this may last for one to two days. Once this passes, most patients are back to work or their usual activities. While complete healing is achieved one to two months after the procedure, this is not significant and will not affect your day-to-day life and activities. Each individual is different and has differing recovery experiences, but for most patients, the recovery process generally includes some mild soreness or irritation for a few days. From there, you can expect your eyes to be \u201cback to normal,\u201d–except normal now means you can see clearly!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We\u2019ve put together some do\u2019s and don\u2019ts to think about that will help ensure your recovery period is smooth, and you heal well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do not drive or operate heavy machinery or power tools on the first day after surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do not drink alcohol on the first day after your surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do not strain or lift anything heavy for several days after EVO ICL surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do not swim or use a hot tub for 5-7 days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Don\u2019t bend past your waist for five days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do get plenty of rest and allow yourself time to heal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do limit your screen time, as watching too much tv or looking at a laptop or phone for too long can strain your eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do gently clean your eyes with a slightly wet, clean cloth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do follow a healthy diet that includes plenty of brightly colored vegetables, lean meats, and whole grains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do drink plenty of water and keep yourself hydrated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do keep tap water out of your eyes for at least two weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
